Project Description

In collaboration with Greenchain Consulting, Urban Food Strategies and True Consulting, assessed the business feasibility of a year round food/farm market in downtown Kamloops, BC.

The study included a review of comparable public food markets across North America, identification of key success metrics for the market, alternative governance structures, relevant regulations, potential locations for the market, engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and financial projections showing revenues and costs for both the vendors and the market itself.  The study demonstrated that there was sufficient demand for such a market and good availability of local food producers to sell at the market.
