Project Description

In collaboration with Greenchain Consulting, Urban Food Strategies, and Sustainability Solutions Group, prepared a report that described the current status of food processing in the CVRD, identified barriers and opportunities for enhancing food processing, discussed climate change implications of expanded food processing, and presented specific recommendations for expanding food processing and enhancing climate change resilience. The work included a stakeholder interviews and a stakeholder workshop to obtain input from local food processors, processing associations, cold storage firms, first nations, community groups and local and provincial government agencies.
